Indonesia seems to have been taking lessons in how to treat disabled people from the very hypocritical James Purnell. Their suggestion is that disabled people will have to wear some sort of visible sign to identify their disability to road users.

Haven't we seen this kind of rule forcing people to wear signs to identify themselves somewhere before? Oh yes, I remember now, wasn't it that Hitler chap?!

I can't believe how much some things just don't seem to change. Hitlers ruling was how many years ago? Regardless, if we keep plugging along (and others too) we will be able to help others understand disabilities and issues concerning them!

Mind you, isn't this the same country that imposes caning people for certain crimes, or was that Singapore? Unbelievable.

Wow, that is insane.

Why stop there, surely all the disabled people could be kept in the same place, ooh lets see we could call it auchwitz!!
There are so many places left in this world that really don't know about human rights. It makes your disabled toilets seem a positive luxury.

No actually it was New Labour, with people who had perhaps dropped litter getting a Police caution or being placed onto community work, being told to wear a pink jacket or a blue jacket in my area saying community payback. Also Asda tried it by placing people with disabilities to wear a coat saying I'm disabled.

Lets be fair not much difference between Hitler really and Brown anyway.

Followed by "Let's round them all up" syndrome which is then followed by "What do we do with them now that we have them?" questions - the answer to which is almost never good.

Robert, I think you exaggerate a little on you post. The ASDA experiment,I agree, poor taste. I don't actually think that anyone dropping litter would be made to perform community service, that's for serious criminals like rapists and murderers don't you know!

Hitler v Brown.......not never, no way!

Sorry for hijack BG, won't do it again.
